Sunrise at the Lecht

It was an 0500 start from home, and I decide to take the longer (but better on the eye, once the sun appears) route to Elgin. In the blue hour pretty much most of the way until sunrise at about 0645.
It was a cloudy day, but the sun was starting to break through, it could see the clouds to the West being lit up by the rising sun as i approached the Lecht Ski Centre...
The chair lifts were silhouetted on the horizon, so pulled over and attached my Nikon 200-500
The clouds were rising over the horizon as i took this shot of the "Snowy Owl" run chairlifts..
A little bit of post processing to darken the silhouettes a bit more and clarity to emphasise the clouds in Photoshop...
I dont always carry my 200-500 lens due to size and weight!! And most working weeks i need ALL the space in my boot, glad i made the decision this time and now make room for the "big boy".
