2020...Happy New Year...
Started 2020 with an early morning rise at 0530...
A sober hogmany and decided to visit one of my favourite parts of Scotland, Glencoe!
With the early start i was hoping to arrive at Glencoe around sunrise, BUT the 99% cloud cover put a stop to that, however, the clouds eventually did break to allow me to get some colours...
Again the clouds started to roll in, so decided to visit Ft William for a quick breakfast
Surprisingly, the Glencoe car parks were very busy with camper vans and motor homes, so thought i would drive home via Loch Laggan and on to A9
On the way down the side of Loch Laggan, i remembered the old church on the hill, so decide to pay it a visit. Cille Choirill is a 15th century Catholic church in Lochaber, "possibly" built by Cameron of Locheil...
For the above photo, the sun re-appeared and created a silhouette of the church, quite an eerie experience and tried to suggest this in post processing... :O
A good day out for the start of the year, looking forward to the rest...
